pring is in the air, and what better way to celebrate the changing of the seasons than with a refreshing cocktail? But why settle for the same old drinks when you can use fresh, farm-to-freezer fruit to create something truly unique and delicious? Of course, all of these can be made without the alcohol for a delicious mocktail.

Here are a few ideas for spring cocktails for using frozen fruit:

  1. Strawberry Basil Margarita: In a blender, combine frozen strawberries, fresh basil leaves, tequila, lime juice, and a splash of agave syrup. Blend until smooth, then pour into a salt-rimmed glass and garnish with a sprig of fresh basil.
  2. Raspberry Lemonade Mocktail: Combine frozen raspberries, lemonade, vodka, and club soda for a light and refreshing springtime cocktail.
  3. Peach Ginger Fizz: In a shaker, combine frozen peaches, ginger simple syrup, and vodka. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a slice of fresh peach.
  4. Triple Berry Rose Sangria: In a pitcher, combine Heartland’s frozen Triple Berry Blend (raspberries, blueberries and strawberries), rose wine, brandy, orange juice, and a splash of soda water. Stir well and chill in the fridge for a few hours before serving.
  5. Tropical Cooler: In a blender, combine Heartland’s Blend (frozen mango, pineapple and strawberries), fresh lime juice, tequila and sugar. Blend until smooth, then strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a sprig of mint.

By using farm-to-freezer fruit, you can enjoy the flavors of fresh produce all year round, even when it’s not in season. Plus, frozen fruit is often less expensive and more convenient than fresh, making it a great choice for cocktails. So grab a bag of frozen fruit and get mixing – your taste buds will thank you!
